The Identity Layer.

The Identity Layer is the category noun that puts NHIG in its place in the enterprise stack. Above it sits the workload: AI agents, RPA bots, service accounts, workloads. Below it sits the audit ledger. The Identity Layer is what mediates every action the workload takes against a governed, cryptographic identity. Human IAM was never built to be this. It was built to authenticate a person at a keyboard. The Identity Layer is what fills the same role for machines, and it is a distinct category because the primitives are different: certificates instead of passwords, machine speed instead of session lifetimes, named human ownership instead of role membership.

Arkion is the identity layer for the machine workforce. It integrates upward with the workload runtimes that deploy non-humans and downward with the identity providers, audit ledgers, and compliance systems the enterprise already runs. The result: every action a non-human takes is authenticated against a governed, revocable, attestable identity.
