§ 01 · Where they differ

Two different architectural bets.

Clutch's product organizes non-human identity around the concept of Identity Lineage: connecting an identity to its origin (the human or system that created it), what consumes it, where it is stored, and what resources it reaches. It is one of the more distinctive positioning approaches in the space, and the graph model is a genuine analytic advantage for tracing exposure.
Arkion produces the underlying artifact that a lineage graph exists to organize: the identity itself. Where Clutch answers 'given this identity, show me its lineage,' Arkion answers 'issue this identity, bind it to an owner, rotate it before expiry, revoke it in one action.' The two approaches are architecturally complementary. In a mature NHI program, both a lineage-view layer and an issuance-authority layer have value.
The specific move Arkion makes that Clutch's public architecture does not is cryptographic authority: Arkion is a CA. Every NHID in an Arkion-governed estate is signed by an intermediate CA under Arkion's control; when Arkion revokes, downstream services stop trusting the certificate at the next handshake. A lineage-graph platform can flag exposure; the CA architecture makes revocation enforceable at the cryptographic layer.
